Sisters

Sometimes when life gets hard, like when you find out you have to get glasses, you need a big sister to hug you and tell you your beautiful.

Just Call Me Isi

Isana, or Isi for short, (Isana sounds too fussy for a little girl she tells me) is so anxious to come out and play. She is is getting very impatient with me to finish her shoes and jacket. Of course it's too hot outside for a jacket right now but I keep telling her fall is right around the corner. Hard for a little girl to believe that when it's 100 degrees outside.
She is such a curious little girl and her unruly curls keep falling out of her ribbon and tickling her nose.
She's trying so hard to sit still but it's just too hot to do so. So hot in fact, that sometimes you just have to lounge around in your unmentionables.

Emory

Emory got a clothing change. I love this outfit so much more than the other overalls I originally made for him. With all that bright orange hair, he needed something a little more tame. These are reversible overalls and if he wants to sport the plaid he can.
I gave him a sprinkling of freckles. He likes to spend most of the day outside exploring all the little creatures out there.
Emory is headed to the Children's Justice Center next weekend for a local auction. If you are local, be sure to check it out. We need to make sure to give Emory a good home and to be able to support the local Justice Center is just a bonus!

Sophie

This little sweet little girl is Sophie.  Named after my new little great-niece born just a week ago.  She's an 11 inch custom doll that I made. She has the sweetest little face to match her disposition.
Sophie patiently awaited for her clothes this week.  These fabrics were divine to work with.  My customer gave me this gorgeous dress to upcycle into a her special doll dress.  The colors were just beautiful.  Sophie is quite pleased as well.
She did insist on having purple shoes.  It's her favorite color after all.  She loves to take them off and look at the small floral pattern inside.

We did take a break to watch the little birds in the trees.  Spring must be around the corner finally.

This is a comparison pic of my 10-11 inch doll to my 12-13 inch dolls.  Sophie is quite petite.

Thank you

A friend of mine wrote an article about me and my doll making in the local newspaper.  It was pretty fun and I felt honored to be spotlighted about my craft.  I really love making these little dolls.  I feel very blessed to be able to do something I love and to have people like you to share it with.  Thanks for supporting me and my hobby.  It's been a lot of fun and I hope to be able to continue to make dolls for those of you still waiting.  With a very busy life, and with very active kids, it's hard to make as many dolls as I would like to, but I hope you know that the ones I do make, are made with lots of love.  These are the photos he captured of me and my dolls.  I probably just looked to most to be the crazy doll lady.  Maybe I am.  But I am okay with that. :)

Charley

This is the little guy I've been working on this month in between sewing costumes for the play my daughter is in.  I haven't had much time to devote to dolly making but I'm glad he's finally ready for his clothes.  This little guy is going to a very special home.  I'll have more details on that later as well as more photos of him dressed.
